The American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and/ or Heartsaver instructor course is designed for individuals who wish to become certified to teach Basic Life Support (BLS) and/ or Heartsaver courses. This program prepares qualified candidates to instruct BLS Provider and/ or Heartsaver courses following current AHA guidelines, with an emphasis on effective teaching, hands-on skills instruction, and course management.
Who Should Take This Course?
• Individuals interested in teaching BLS or Heartsaver courses in healthcare or community settings
• Individuals looking to strengthen their resume with a recognized life-saving certification
Course Requirements:
• Current AHA BLS Provider and/ or Heartsaver certification
• Completion of the AHA BLS and/ or Heartsaver Instructor Essentials online module
• Alignment with an authorized AHA Training Site (QBridges Learning Academy LLC)
Course Structure:
• Instructor Training: 1 day (4-6 hours)
• Skills Evaluation: scheduled separately (1–2 days, 3 hours per day)
