The EKG Technician Training Program is designed for individuals who are interested in learning how to perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and develop the essential skills needed to work in a healthcare setting. This course combines foundational cardiac knowledge with practical EKG skills, including proper lead placement, rhythm recognition, and basic interpretation of cardiac rhythms.
Who Should Take This Course?
• Individuals interested in becoming an EKG Technician
• Medical assistants, CNAs, EMTs, and other healthcare professionals
• Individuals interested in gaining additional cardiac monitoring skills and enhancing their healthcare résumé
• Anyone seeking entry-level training or looking to start a career in the healthcare field
Participants will learn how to:
• Understand basic cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Identify the electrical conduction system of the heart
• Perform a standard 12-lead EKG correctly
• Recognize normal sinus rhythms and common cardiac dysrhythmias
• Practice EKG procedures through hands-on training

*** Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive an EKG Technician Course Completion Certificate and, if eligible, take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified EKG Technician (CET) certification exam.***
Optional add-ons, including the NHA Certified EKG Technician National Certification Exam ($134) and AHA BLS Provider certification ($65), will be reviewed and discussed on the first day of class.
